Petersen Fine Arts advisory service of modern and contemporary art includes expertise in areas of acquisitions and sales for paintings, sculpture, photography, works on paper, prints and video.   

APPRAISALS

Ms. Petersen is a certified art appraiser (N.Y.U.) and does appraisals of modern and contemporary art. She provides formal appraisal reports that adhere to the IRS standards of professional practice and are in full compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Code of Ethics and Professional Practices.  The written art appraisals include those for purposes of insurance, charitable donation, capital gains, estate tax or equitable distriburtion.  

ART FAIRS

Ms. Petersen attends international art fairs in the US, Europe, and Asia looking for exceptional art for her clients. These art fairs include ARCO, Art Basel, Chicago Art Expo, FIAC, Frieze, The Armory Show, The Art Show, The Photography Show, TEFAF, Tokyo Art Expo etc. 

ART TOURS

Ms. Petersen conducts art tours and lectures in Manhattan around Chelsea, SOHO, 57th Street, and the upper Eastside on the aesthetic achievements of contemporary and modern art. These discussions include visits to galleries, artist's studios, art fairs, museums, auctions houses, and private and corporate art collections.  Her past clients include the Greenwich Library Art Committee, Greenwich Art Society, Greenwich School of Continuing Education, and New York University School of Continuing Education. Ms. Petersen trained at the Metropolotan Museum of Art as a docent and has given the "Highlights Tour" there in the past.
